Pace of Play Guidelines
Efficient pace of play ensures an enjoyable experience for everyone. Please help us maintain a smooth flow by following these guidelines:
- Arrive Early: Check-in and warm up well before your tee time.
- We recommend your full group arrives 30 minutes prior to your tee time, at minimum.
- Keep Up: Maintain pace throughout your round.
- Course Pace – 4.5 Hours
- Individual Hole Pace – 15 Minutes
- Pace of play is displayed on your GPS and updates at each tee box.
- Play Efficiently: Make prompt decisions, limit time when searching for lost balls, and always play provisional shots if you are concerned of the result of the first swing.
- We strongly encourage “Ready Golf” while on the course.
- Move Promptly: Limit time between each shot and between holes to ensure you are never slowing down the group behind you.
- Responsible Cart Use: Park carts in designated areas to avoid delays.
- Carts should never pass the curbed areas of the path.
- Show Courtesy: Respect fellow golfers by minimizing noise and distractions while adhering to proper etiquette.
Starter and Player Assistant Interaction
At the first tee, golfers will receive important information from our starter about course conditions, local rules, and pace of play expectations. These details help ensure a smooth and enjoyable round for everyone.
While on the course, Player Assistants will be available to help golfers maintain the expected pace of play. This ensures that all players have the experience they intended when visiting White Clay Creek Country Club.
If multiple reminders about pace of play are needed, it may become necessary for a group to skip a hole or holes to return to the proper pace for the course.
To assist with our pace of play policies, we have added pace of play times to the GPS screens on all golf carts. As you approach each tee box, please check your current pace to ensure you are “on pace” and aligned with the course’s expectations.
By working together, we can create a seamless and enjoyable golfing environment. Your cooperation helps ensure every golfer has a positive and memorable experience. Thank you for supporting the spirit of the game!
